Steve Gonzalez has been a broker in the financial services industry since 1999 and has been a Registered Representative with Parsonex Securities, Inc. since 2008.
In 2012 Steve retired from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department at the rank of sergeant after spending 25 years in civil service. His unique background as a former government employee with more than 20 years of experience as a securities professional allows him to assist clients in negotiating the sometimes confusing world of government pension benefits.
Steve has extensive experience with both the County and City of Los Angeles’ Deferred Compensation Retirement plans administered through Voya and Empower Retirement Services. He is familiar with the DROP program for City of L.A. safety employees and the county of L.A.’s Termination Pay, MegaFlex, and Horizons programs. Steve has helped police officers, deputy sheriffs, city and county fire personnel, MTA employees, teachers, postal service workers, and municipal city employees plan for a secure and comfortable retirement.
In addition to being licensed as a registered representative with the Financial Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Steve is also licensed in the state of California to sell life insurance, property and casualty insurance, and long-term-care insurance. He can explain the benefits and limitations of government employer-subsidized group-term life insurance policies and how a simple term life insurance policy can protect your family and fill in the gaps where your group term policy falls short.
Finally, Steve can help you with your estate planning needs by assisting you with a Revocable Living Trust to ensure the smooth transition of assets to your beneficiaries.
